Hi,

I am the mother of a 26 month old celiac who continues to have low
disaccharide levels...that is, he has difficulty digesting/processing
foods with lactase, maltase, and sucrase...(milk/dairy, starches, and
sugars, respectively).

i am wondering if there are any folks out there that have similar
conditions? If so, what diets have worked well with this condition. My
son's GI doctor seems to feel that this low disaccharide condition will
resolve itself when my son is about 3 or so...I tend to feel it may be a
lifetime condition. Has anyone out there who has had low disaccharide
levels had it resolved at a point in their lives?

I would love to hear from anyone who has had this situation.

Thanks!
