Greetings, my fellow listmates in New England!

Recently a friend told me she had visited a pancake house here in New
Hampshire which actually had gluten-free pancakes on the menu! It's called
Polly's Pancake Parlor, and is in Sugar Hill, NH, which is near Franconia.
They also sell the pancake mix to take home, and she brought me a package. I
had them for breakfast yesterday and they were really delicious. More like a
johnny cakes, since the main ingredient is corn, but very light. Just add egg
or substitute, and milk or water, and oil.

It's great to see that some restaurants are actually aware of the special
diets some of us are on. I had given up the idea of ever eating pancakes in a
restaurant again. Of course, if you go, you should check on how they clean
the griddle before cooking your order, and other sources of contamination,
such as utensils, etc.

Enjoy! Susanne in Concord, NH
