The following article was posted recently to the newsgroup where the doctors
hang out, and a few of us have replied to the thread. I was hoping I could
encourage some others from here to pay the newsgroup a visit and post their
story there. Which symptoms, and how long to clear, would be a good
education for these doctors. The fellow who posted this is most interested
in "the amount of time it might take before mal-absorption recedes and lost
weight begins to return." Don Wiss.

I am curious - when a celiac begins a gluten-free diet, what is the
typical order in which symptoms begin to clear, and is there a typical
(average) amount of time required for each of the symptoms to recede ?
I realize there may not be a "typical" case of celiac sprue, but any
input here is appreciated.
