Thanks for the responses...here is the summary. Looks like SOY DREAM is safe
and it sure is tasty!

Just another pointer or question - have the soybeans used in the drink been
genetically engineered to cope with things like large quantities of
roundup???? Whats the policy and/or feelings of the US re GE crops???
Apart from the gluten factor is the product itself safe???

Your note of 10/7 to the Celiac list was forwarded to me by Don Wiss.

We are happy to learn that you enjoy SOY DREAM Beverage. I understand
that you recently had a reaction that caused you to question the
presence of gluten in SOY DREAM.

There are no ingredients or procedures associated with the production of
SOY DREAM that would cause an adverse reaction in someone who is
sensitive to gluten.

Please don't hesitate to contact me directly if you have further
questions or comments.

With best regards,

My doctor says soy contains small amounts of gluten. "Depending on one's level
of tolerance soy may or may not be a problem. Soy protein isolate, such as
that used in protein powder, food bars and other products could be a problem,
because soy isolate conatins an 8 times concentration of gliadin."

I do not know how this would apply to Soy Dream, but I intend to avoid it.

I have coincidently received information today from Imagine Co. regarding
their products. My inquiry was regarding their creamy broccoli soup
which I found quite good. Hope this is helpful. Marv Becker,Rochester,NY
