"A coworker of mine's two elementary age children received a flu shot at s
chool last week, and the next day both presented symptoms of flu (high fever,
congestion, etc.). They are not Celiacs. Regardless of CD, it would seem =
this shot is making (at least some) people sick."

Umm, we're talking about Tamiflu here, which is taken after flu symptoms appear.
The "shot" is a dead virus. If the kids presented with flu after the "shot," it
means they already had it. This happens frequently; people get the vaccination
and then think they have the flu. It's because they already had the flu (or are
one of the very rare people who just don't react well, but it's not the flu).
