Does anyone know whether Nitroglycerine a.k.a. nitrostat (Pfizer) is
gluten-free? Are there any know GF generics? Has anyone used this
recently? ClanThompson' smartlist says the status is unknown, and my
call to Pfizer from the ER was (ahem) less than productive. They
don't know the source of the pregeletanized food starch, but they
will "kick the question up to manufacturing and call with an answer
by the middle of next week."
Now THAT is what celiacs do NOT need to hear from a pharmaceutical
house, especially in an ER cardiac situation.
Some manufacturers have made a corporate decision to go gluten-free,
Others have the information readily available on a product by product
basis. Still others have taken the legalistic CYA approach.
Any info would be greatly appreciated.
