Hello all,
Well blood glucose levels are all over the place ketones spilling so I
think I must do some more intese research in order to keep my daughter
safe.

I must figure out a way to break down the diet to be able to count grams
of protein/carbs so I can adjust her insulin injections accordingly,
also the honey and frueit in the breads and muffins may be elevating her
glucose level.

I must figure out how to match food breakdown to match insulin peaks....

Alicia is still exhibiting vomiting so this further complicates things..
nut muffins/yogurt/green beans seem to exasperate vomiting.
I feel like we are in a catch 22.... can't stop the vomiting till her
vili heal but can't stablize diabetes with diet , I think if I could
"safely" have her on the diet for a longer period (with no ketones
spilling) things would settle BUT .. Ketoacidosis can be very
serious....

Not ready to dismiss the SCD just need to re-assess How to manage her
diabetes AND follow the SCD.............

I was wondering, there is a theory that casein may be a problem for
those who have celiac, I was wondering if this may be a factor...
Thanks for listening,
Debi, Tired In Alberta Canada
