I got 6 detailed responses re: GF grain mill. Thanks
to each of them.

1. Two persons wrote re: Grainmaster WhisperMill.
Available from CSA at $250 or over the Internet for
$220, it does a very good job of finely grinding GF
grains; so far, tried for white or brown rice. Unable
to clean it very thoroughly, so recommended to use
only for GF grains. Can grind 4-5 cups at a time, at
a noise level of 80 decibels. Has the advantage of
grinding a variety of grains at home as needed. It is
made by Bosch, so should be available at a Bosch store
or any Kitchen specialty store as well.

2. Two persons wrote re: Regal Kitchen Pro Grain
Mill. Available from CSA at $50 or elsewhere for even
$39, it does a fine job for its price. Can grind
various grains, but not very finely. However, the
baked goods come out fine. Unable to clean it very
thoroughly, so recommended to use only for GF grains.

Can grind 4 cups at a time.

3. One person wrote re: Family Grain Mill. Available
for $125, it has other attachments as well. Can grind
various grains, including rice, lentils, peas,
garbanzo beans, mung beans, etc. but not very finely.

Can run it through the mill twice to get a finer
flour. However, the baked goods come out fine. Can
grind 5-6 cups at a time.

4. HAWO's grain Mill (a German product) was
recommended by one person in Switzerland. It is very
sturdy; can grind any grain. Unable to clean it very
thoroughly, so recommended to use only for GF grains.

Can grind 3 cups at a time.

People who have the Regal or the Family Grain Mill
were okay with their products but seemed to suggest
that if budget allows, the WhisperMill would be better
(don't know if they have actually used this one & can
truly compare them).
