Fellow listemembers,

I'm considering going on the Atkins diet as a "transition" to help me lose some weight brought on by a medication.

I'm well aware of the potential health risks and controversy surrounding this diet, so I do NOT want this email (or any replies!) to deal with that aspect of it.

I read the archives and it seems that there are some bars and shakes available from the Atkins company. There are also a number of people who have had success with a simultaneous GF and Atkins lifestyle.

What I would like to know is how the people who have had success with Atkins do so within the gluten-free diet. What tips do you have? What food resources (companies, store products, etc.) were most useful? Are any chain restaurants particularly accommodating? Anything else you can recommend?

I will summarize for the list.

Many thanks in advance,
Jessica, WI
