~Thank you all for your responses in recommending a high-quality bread machine. Here is my summary based on member's advice. The #s have no significance, they are meant only for organization.

1. Two people noted that a Zojirushi programmable for gluten free breads is wonderful. It can be purchased at Amazon.com. This machine can be programmed for one knead and one rise as required for our dough.

2. The TR2200C: used for about a year and have found it a
very satisfactory machine for gluten free bread making. The person likes the
normal loaf shape it produces. Called Red Star Yeast Co. to obtain
programming information. Favorite Red Star recipe uses brown rice
flour to make the pumpernickel bread. Cut back on the water to one
cup.

3. Zojirushi has about the best machine going in the BBCCV20 model. All
kinds of variable settings, many preset selections. A bit expensive at
around $169 or so. Can be obtained at most department stores. The person hasn't
seen them at Wal-Mart or K-mart, when last checked. It took 12 years to wear out his first Z-machine, and could probably still get replacement parts for it from the various suppliers around the US if need. There are about 10 service centers around the US and Canada for the parts.

thanks again!

Laurel, gf in CT.
