Canadian Listmates,

Can anyone in Canada let me know how to find out if the new drug called
Celebrex from Monsanto in the U.S. is available in Canada? I did check with
my local pharmacy, but the pharmacist wasn't too helpful. Possibly if I
knew the Canadian supplier, the pharmacist might be able to give me better
information.

This is one of a new kind of drug group called COX-2 inhibitors that are
designed to treat arthritis pain without potentially deadly side effects.
This new drug received U.S. Food and Drug Administration approval early in
January. This group of drugs apparently act like anti-inflammatories, but
don't have any of the usual side-effects on the gut.

Thanks,
Helen in Vancouver, BC
