The consensus seems to be that it is a 10% chance my new daughter will have
Celiac Disease. I have the disease, but my husband does not. If both
parents have the disease, it is a higher chance for the children to get it.
The strange thing to me though is that most of the people that wrote me had
at least one child that had the disease, so it sounds like it should be
higher than 10%.

We are still clueless in my family where I got CD from. I've told my other
family members to get tested, but they dont think they need to. We know of
no one else in my family with CD.

I was also told my many to keep my daughter on a gluten free diet for at
least one year. I definitely plan on doing that!

Thanks for all of the great responses!! And if anyone has any ideas of how I
can get my family members to get tested (they all claim they have no
symptoms)...please let me know!!
