Gluten-Free Trading Company is pleased to announce that we now stock
GLUTEN FREE OATS brand Old Fashioned Rolled Oats.

Although several medical studies have indicated that PURE oats are
acceptable for people with celiac disease, almost all regular brands
of oatmeal are likely to be contaminated with gluten as a result of
standard farming, harvesting, and processing practices.

Wheat and oats both grow in the same climate and the plants are
almost the same height. Many farmers grow wheat and oats in the same
fields in different years. Usually, some wheat seeds fall on the
ground and sprout the next year, and when that happens it's very
difficult to prevent the second-generation wheat from getting mix
with the oats during the harvest. Cross-contamination can also occur
when oats are harvested, shipped, or stored in equipment that is also
used for gluten-containing grains.

Gluten Free Oats states that their products are safe for people who
are gluten intolerant because they are carefully grown, harvested,
and processed to avoid cross-contamination from wheat, rye or barley.
The fields are used only for oats (or other gluten-free grains) and
the harvesting machines are inspected by the Wyoming Seed
Certification Service to assure they are free of gluten-containing
grains. In addition, the products are tested by the University of
Nebraska FARRP Laboratory to assure that they contain less than
0.001% gluten.

Gluten Free Oats are an excellent source of dietary fiber and can be
used as a hot cereal or as an ingredient in any recipe that calls for
old-fashioned oatmeal.
