My 3.5 YO daughter has a diagnosis of PDD/NOS. She has been on a
gluten/casein free diet for approximately 11 months. She has shown great
progress since beginning this diet.(ie: more alert, more verbal, less
irritable) The FAQ for this list mentions diseases related to celiac
disease. My grandmother has celiac sprue and I have Graves disease. Are
there any other parents out there who have children with similar diagnoses?
If so, I have a few questions: Is this a diet for Life? Are you able to
get away with "cheating" on the diet? How are your children doing in
school?(special placement, inclusion,etc.) I would appreciate hearing
from you------our doctors think I'm crazy for attributing part of her
progress to her diet. Thanks!!!!!!!!Stacye
