Chesapeake Tidewater Celiacs, a Chapter of Celiac Disease Foundation,
announces VA Celiac Disease Health Fair


When: September 27, 2007, 5:00-8:00 PM. 


Where: Chesapeake Lifestyle Center of Chesapeake General Hospital, 800
Battlefield Blvd. North, Chesapeake, Virginia 23320.

 

Directions: Call Lifestyle Center directly, 757-312-6132.


What: FREE blood tests to first 100 participants not diagnosed.  Call the
Lifestyle Center at 757-312-6132 to pre-register for blood testing.


Who: FREE EVENT.Open to the public.  

 

Sponsors: Chesapeake General Hospital, Celiac Disease Foundation, Prometheus
Laboratory and The Binding Site.


Why: Chesapeake Health understands the frustration many Celiacs experience
waiting 10 or more years for diagnosis.


Goals: Increase awareness of Celiac Disease in Tidewater Virginia and
Northeast North Carolina; Provide accurate educational material to friends
and families with CD.


How: Professional Speakers including Gastroenterologist, Dietician, Q & A
with President of Chesapeake Tidewater Celiacs, education, gluten-free
foods, samples, prizes and more.


Additional: Monthly meetings of the Chesapeake Tidewater Celiacs, 3rd
Thursdays, 6-7:30 PM, Lifestyle Center
