Does anyone have a good baking substitute for shortening that is soy and
dairy free? I already substitute for gluten, eggs and yeast. Should I just
give up on baking anything that's really good? What are your favorite
ready-made items to order that meet these requirements? I even thought of
going back to animal fat but don't believe that would be good for you or
good tasting.

I'll summarize.
