Several people responded.   Thanks to all.
   
  No one believed this or could provide support to the above containing gluten.
   
  One person pointed me toward the GF product list at http://forums.delphiforums.com/celiac/start  (nice adjunct!)
   
  One person noted that it is probably the vinegar that is the concern in the mayo.  Two people reported Kraft and Helmann's(Best Foods) to be GF.  One noted that Kraft Miracle Whip is NOT GF.
   
  One person wrote that Wrigley's gum is gluten free (more gums re noted on the delphi list, BTW)
   
  One person sent me info on the chemical nature of gum base (from BASF)
   
  Several provided add'l general information about living GF>
