I had asked for leads to a physician in Portland knowledgeable about Celiac
and especially if s/he is connected with Kaiser.

Two persons have recommened Dr Robert Shneidman. He is their celiac group
advisor and speaks all over about CD. He is a gastroenterologist at
Kaiser! in Portland. He will be a speaker at the Gluten Intolerance Group
Annual Education Conference in Portland on June 4-6, 2004. If you would
like more information on this conference, go to
<file://www.gluten.net>www.gluten.net and click on Events.

One mentioned Dr Julie Kim i-- but not with Kaiser. Another one told
about a pediatric gastroenterologist, Dr. Annie Terry with OHSU. She was
very up on celiac disease and may be able to refer your friend to a
gastroenterologist in the area who sees adults.

You may also contact the Portland/Vancouver group for additional
information on doctors. The contacts are Jeanne Huffstutter at
[log in to unmask] or 503-244-8224 and Joanne Galloway
at [log in to unmask] or 360-695-5568.
