As to my son's stomachache after eating honey. He is a young adult and had
no fever. He's okay now. Thank you for your replies. To summarize:

Five people said honey should be pasturized. It carries bacteria that can
cause botulism in very young children.

Two people thought if bees were near wheat/barley fields it could affect
celiacs.

One suggested using Stevia as a sweetner because honey can carry fungus.

One said honey has a laxative effect.

Two people eat honey every day without ill effects.

Sue Bee is listed as GF in the CSA consumer guide.

One experienced stomach pain combining honey with GF soy sauce and lactose
free milk.

Honey is high in salicylates. Avoid honey if aspirin sensitive.

Those prone to seasonal allergies may be sensitive to honey.

One person ate honey on cornbread and got a stomach ache.

Thank you. Bernice in Richmond Hts., Ohio
