Thank you to all the responders to my query about Cool Whip.  The answer was
a resounding: "YES, COOL WHIP IS GLUTEN-FREE!"

One helpful responder noted that there is a product called Tru Whip, sold at
Whole Foods, which is very like Cool Whip (same type of container, etc) but
with many fewer ingredients.  Think I'll try that one as well.
