FYI: Dairy Queen has updated the online GF info (see also links below):

"Gluten-Free Products
Our Vanilla and Chocolate Soft Serve, and MistyR Slush do not contain
gluten.
Additionally, our supplier of manufactured novelties informs us that the
following items are also gluten-free: Lemon Freez'rR Cherry-Lime
Freez'rR "DQ" Fudge Bar; "DQ" Vanilla Orange Bar; "DQ" Vanilla Fudge
Bar; "DQ" Raspberry Vanilla Bar; StarKissR Bars
Please check all of this information with your local restaurant.
Helpful Hints when visiting a Dairy QueenR restaurant
Always tell the restaurant manager you have a food allergy and ask to
see the ingredient listings for the product you would like to purchase.
Know that nuts are used in many "Dairy Queen" treat products and they
can inadvertently find their way into other treat products.
If you have a special order or request to have an ingredient be left out
of a product, please repeat your request a second time to the employee
to help assure an accurate understanding of the special request.
When in doubt whether a product may contain a particular allergen, we
recommend you purchase a pre-packaged manufactured novelty treat which
contains an ingredient listing and nutrition facts panel on the package.
"Dairy Queen" restaurants are very busy and cross contamination may
occur between ingredients. Thus a 100% confidence level cannot be
guaranteed. It is important that you ask your local "Dairy Queen"
restaurant for an ingredient listing of the specific item in question
and let them know of your special needs."
