ala and vit e are BLOOD THINNERS and not everyone needs blood thiiners [along with aspirin].  I took them until md's orders...with no tests..and I almost lost my vision because it caused bleeding behind the retina.  TWO HUNDRED LASER SHOTS later the blooeding was stopped.  it's now five years later and I'm starting, very slowly to regain my vision.

so, before you begin ANY blood thinning regimen, GET TESTED to see if you really need it. dpn't rely on your md's word.  it was my screaming and yellying that finally got ala and vit e recognized as blood thinners.
