The Milwaukee (WI) Celiac-Sprue Crew will meet on:

Saturday, Jan 11, 2014

Menomonee Falls Library
1:00 pm to 3:00-ish
W156 N8446 Pilgrim Road
Memonomee Falls, WI

With the legal definition for GF set at 20 ppm, it’s a good time to discuss what “ppm” means and how the safety of the 20 ppm threshold was determined. GF is more difficult than it needs to be if you are confused by the numbers!

While MCSC’s Cookie Exchange was always popular, it wasn’t especially practical since not everyone participated. And, those exchanged cookies always disappeared before the holidays arrived. Instead, we’re trying a Post-Holiday Recipe Exchange. Of course, we expect recipes for cookies, but non-bakers can contribute their favorites as well, whether it’s for appetizers, using up leftover or GF holiday traditions.

If you are coming to the meeting, you’re encouraged to bring sample-size treats, along with the recipe (cookies, other holiday favorite or tips). If you won’t be at meeting, you can still send/email your recipe to Bev—info on back of NL (or send with renewal). Recipes will be compiled & members gets a copy.
