Dear Listmates,
In my gluten free diet, I have included avoiding canned foods - taking a hint from the SC Diet, and noticing that when I consume canned food I have a degree of distress afterwards. This would be canned vegetables (gluten free), tomatoes, etc. The only relationship between these different foods is the ingredient calcium chloride.
I wonder if others have noticed what may be a sensitivity to calcium chloride. I had been no-mistake gluten free for 3 weeks (gf 3 years) and my stomach had been clearing up, only to feel distress the other day. The only possible food ingredient that could have caused the disterss was canned tomatoes with calcium chloride, all other foods were fresh. ?
