Hi all,
I have a support group member (13 year old) who is going on her school's 8th grade Washington DC trip in a couple weeks. Her mom is going with her as a chaperone. The tour guide company is telling them that they will make NO accommodation for this girl-and that foods will mostly be from buffets. They are telling mom that this girl needs to eat out of a cooler most of the week. Mom is looking for ideas to pack (they will be on a bus for 12 hours each way). They will have refrigeration at the hotel. But almost all planned meals will be at Golden Corral or box lunches from deli's in DC. Anyone else have experience with lengthy school trips like this and how to help accommodate these students?

Thanks so much!
Amy
