Those in New York state and Pennsylvania may be familiar with a grocers
called Wegmans. Recently Wegmans (1-800-WEGMANS ext. 4760) has printed a
brochure titled: <Gluten Sensitivity: Making a Special Diet Easier To
Swallow> which defines gluten and gluten sensitivity, and gives the various
names for Celiac Disease. The gluten free diet is described according to
CSA/USA guidelines, CSA/USA's address and phone are given, and, perhaps
best of all, there is a list of toll-free numbers of some of the largest
mainstream food manufacturers. Think about asking Wegmans to send you
copies of the brochure and give them to your local grocers and health care
providers to show them what they could do as a public service in conjuction
with your favorite Celiac support group.
 
As for the 800 numbers, (including some manufacturers I see little reason
to call) I will pass them along since so many listmembers are keen on
