The only reply on Danville, was that it has an Outback.

I received several replies for Charlotttseville, with info as follows:

There are three places in Charlottesville I like, and they're all on
the downtown mall <http://www.downtowncharlottesville.net/>. Revolutionary Soup is at 108
2nd St. SW; it labels on the menu which soups are gluten-free, vegetarian,
etc. The Flat Creperie is at 111A E. Water St.--they make pure buckwheat
crepes on request which are really good, though they use the same machines
so if contamination is an issue you'll probably want to avoid it. Java Java
is on the mall itself (the other two are on side streets) and the last time
I was there, they had gf stuff like biscotti and muffins. There's also a
Whole Foods in Charlottesville and a number of the usual chains, so you
should have plenty of options.

I live in Charlottesville which has an active support group. On its website (
http://www.healthsystem.virginia.edu/internet/digestive-health/nutrition/celiacsupport.cfm
) you'll find a downloadable list of restaurants and stores that should be useful.

I live in Charlottesville and there are a couple chain restaurants as
well as some local/regional restaurants where you can dine. We have an
Outback, Bonefish and Cheeseburger in Paradise, but I got sick at the
Cheeseburger, so can't recommend that.

Some local/regional restaurants that have GF menus include Mas, a tapas restaurant (in the Belmont area), Tara Thai and Rise Pizzaworks (both at Barracks Road shopping center). You should be able to find info about them on the web.

There is a natural foods store called Rebecca's, also at Barracks Road, as well as a Whole Foods on Rt 29. I've been able to find a decent GF selections at all the local Kroger grocery stores.
