I didn't really find an answer to my question, is an emotional stress
could be one of the causes to Celiac. I know it might be a trigger , and
that the symptoms could get worst because of stress. I didn't find
(yet), an article or research regarding stress as one of the causes to
Celiac.

Anyway, here is what I have from the list members. Thanks to all of you.

===================

//............."According to my dr and what I've read on the list, and
experience, it isn't caused by stress it's genetic. Stress may be a
trigger for when it is activated but not the actual
cause"..............//

//.............."No, but you are onto something with this question. I
belong to lists of autistics and of people with multiple chemical
sensitivities and associated "brain fog" and learning disabilities. I
believe that the whole picture is one of too much high gluten foods
leading to people breaking down into various diseases under the stress of
our faster/better work environment. The illnesses related to all this
seem to be: diabetes, celiac, fibromyalgia, arthritis -- you may be
getting the picture by now"................//

//.........." While I was off (work. u.k.) my symptoms seemed to lessen,
and once I returned they began to become bad again. Six months later I
passed out while at work and now I am diagnosed with the disease. I
seem to feel better in less stressful situations. I seem to take on all
the symptoms that I get from ingesting gluten during
highly stressful times.".......//

//............"I don't think there is. I'm very aware that
stress may have been the trigger factor for my wife's
coeliac being "switched on". It certainly makes her much
more sensitive when she is particularly heavily stressed
whether the stressor is psychological or
physical............

Can I offer a word of WARNING. For many people blaming
something on stress (or even appearing to be suggesting a
link) clicks in the "he thinks it's all in the mind and it
isn't" reaction. These people do not have the scientific
background which sees stress as covering a wide range of
things, which include heat, cold, injury etc"............//
