I have just checked with Eli Lilly about Cymbalta (generic name Duloxetine
Hydrochloride) inactive ingredients.  Our primary care doctor has put my
husband (presumably a non-Celiac he won't get tested as has no symptoms at
all) on Cymbalta for mild depression and back pain.  This is a relatively
new drug also used for Diabetes neuropathy pain (central pain inhibitor).
Eli Lilly claims it is gluten free.  The tablets are enteric coated pellets.
The inactive ingredients are FD&C #2 blue, gelatin, hypromellose,
hydroxypropyl methylcellulose acetate succinate, sodium lauryl sulfate,
sucrose, sugar spheres, titanium dioxide, talc and triethyl citrate.  The 20
and 60 mg capsules also contain iron oxide yellow.  I was told all binders
are gluten free.  I post this only because I have done the research and felt
I should share.  I would be very interested in anyone's comments of those
who are taking this drug or have information contrary or additionally to my
posting above.
