Yes pappadums are very good fried, but you can also broil them.  Put them in
the oven under the broil, watch them carefully, when they brown flip them
over until browned on the other side. They brown very quickly.
My father likes them browned this way because he thinks they are more
spicey, I'm not sure if this is true. I just know I like them done both ways.
