Hi all,
I was just reading the summary of Mexican restaurants in Houston. Many people mentioned how great margaritas were in several places. My question is: don't we have to be careful of mixers that contain gluten? I really don't want to create paranoia ... but when I was first diagnosed 7 months ago, I had a hard time finding mixers and alcohols that are gluten free. Is it really okay to just go into a restaurant and order a margarita without having to quiz the bartender and ask for special consessions?

Again, not trying to create paranoia ... I just love margaritas and would love to just order one without having to go through a quiz session with the bartender. I am quite sensitive ... so if it contains gluten, I will react in a terribly painful way.

Any advice or thoughts on this is very much appreciated. I would love to hear that I can just order a margarita! Thanks,
Lori
