Since the diagnosis of celiac our family's favorite snack foods have been
found to contain gluten-rice crackers and wasabi peas. I don't mean the kind
of crackers you use with cheese, but the bags of small mixed cocktail
snacks, some hot, some with seaweed etc. The wasabi peas, a staple in our
household, have wheat mixed with the wasabi to make the flavoring. I know in
the grand scale of food deprivations for celiacs this is small, but if
anyone knows of a place to buy or mail order gluten-free versions of these
snack foods, or even a way to create them ourselves, we would be very
appreciative.
