Dear Listmembers,

I will be starting a new job tomorrow so I won't be writing that often, but
will keep reading and helping whenever I can.

We are in the process of trying to deal with our 8 year old daughter
basically "running amuck" with a gluten spree. It started a couple of
weeks ago when she was caught by her counselor at camp eating, of all
things, an ice cream sandwich (she is also dairy allergic). Since then,
she has been "slipping" all over the place and is a raving maniac because
of it, not only physically, but emotionally too. HELP!!! She starts
school tomorrow and I am the new school secretary so I can keep a closer
eye on her, but she needs to be able to "Just say no" to gluten. Any and
all advice would be greatly appreciated.

I know the subject line says Health Valley Rice Crunchem's (like rice
checks cereal) and originally I wrote to ask if they are gf. I can see by
the ingredient label they are, but does anyone know about the cross
contamination issue at the manufacturing plant? Please let me know asap,
because if it is okay, it might be easier to get my daughter to stick to
her foods.

We went to a CSA picnic in the Chicago area and it was wonderful! I think
their work is very good, and I for one am very grateful they are so
stringent with what they will allow and won't allow. Just my two cents
worth.

Thanks in advance.
