I received a number of questions about my post asking why I found Smokey
Bones' response to my inquiry insulting. Mainly it was because instead
of answering my question, or telling me they didn't know the answer,
they instead (1) gave me a primer on celiac disease and (2) told me to
have my doctor advise me on menu choices. The second point is just
plain dumb and impractical. Moreover, how is a doctor supposed to tell
a patient what to eat at Smokey Bones if the restaurant can't tell us
what the ingrediants are? Sheesh.

Someone else said the food at SB is very mediocre and we weren't missing
a thing! That's the best news -- and believe me, I will disseminate
that information!

Thanks to those who were concerned about us not being able to use the
gift card. It can also be used as Red Lobster, Bahama Breeze and Olive
Garden. Since my daughter (the only celiac in the family) spent the
night at a friend's house last night, we used the card at Red Lobster!
(Yeah, pretty mediocre, but we didn't have to pay for it!)

By the way, when I responded back to Smokey Bones I advised them that
number of large chain restaurants -- including Tony Roma's, a competing
barbecue chain -- have developed menus that identify GF items, and in
doing so have developed loyal and grateful customers.
