Hi all:
Just thought I would pass along an e-mail I got in repsonse to my query
about Cruzan Rums (they make several fruit flavored ones). I tried the
pineapple rum last night and it's quite good. Been looking for the vanilla
rum but haven't located it yet!
Cruzan is on the web at www.cruzanrums.com and is imported by a FL company
called Todhunter Imports. I don't work for the company but will be
attending a charity event next weekend and they are a sponsor and will have
their product available. I just wanted to know if I could drink it safely.

I would like to know if there is any gluten in Cruzan Rums.
I have celiac disease, an intolerance of the gluten in wheat, rye,
barley and oats. I cannot consume any of these ingredients. As your rum is
made from cane sugar molasses, I would not suspect the basic recipe to be a
problem. However, I do not know if the yeast or other added ingredients
(fruit flavoring, etc.) would contain wheat, rye, barley or oats.
I will be attending a charity function soon; Cruzan is a sponsor and
will have product there. I would love to know if I can safely partake of
your products.
