I e-mailed the Butler-GUM Co. regarding those red tablets from the dentist
that show kids places on their teeth where they may have missed while
brushing.  Here is their reply.

Unfortunately, the Red Cote Disclosing Tablet do contain gluten.  It is one
of the few products we have that do.
