I just returned from a successful Carnival Cruise aboard the Paradise on the K-Love Friends & Family Cruise (which was fabulous). I truly appreciate everyone's helpful which helped in making my cruise a success. I will share my experience in hope of helping others. When registering for the cruise, I let them know of my GF dietary requirements. Two months before cruising, I called again and they got me in contact with special dietary requirements dept. & assured me my name was on the GF list (the person I spoke with said they were getting a lot of requests now for GF diets--surprising to me as I personally know very few people with CD on GF diet--). I called again 1 week before I left to make sure that my name was indeed on the GF list and they assured me it was. The person also told me I could bring along any mixes and the cooking staff would be happy to make it for me. I called the Guest with Special Requirements number which is 1-800-438-6744, ext. 70025. When I arrived on board, I met with the m'aitre de and let them know of my GF diet requirements. That evening I met with the asst. m'aitre de in my dining room and took my mixes for the cooking staff to prepare. They were aware of my dietary requirements and had advice on what to eat that was safe. After each evening meal, I met with the m'aitre de and we went over the next evenings meal and selected what I wanted. I only had a problem one time when the Caeser Salad came with croutons on it. I had them take it back. I took snacks on shore excursions and ate a cheeseburger without bun from the lido deck when I got back on board and ate way too much ice cream from the machine. I could have spoken with the chef at the lido deck restaurant but was perfectly happy eating cheeseburgers or salad and fresh fruit for lunches. I ate yogurt, fresh fruit and scrambled eggs or omelettes for breakfast. I ate way more than I typically do so all went well. I did leave a suggestion to have a GF menus available at all times at all restaurants since our number was growing rapidly and we spread word quickly when we have good experiences. If anyone has any questions, please feel free to contact me.

Good luck and God Bless

Mary in Kansas
