Greetings, Listmates!

The monthly meeting of CSA Tidewater Chapter #71 will meet next
Tuesday, April 20, 1999, at 7:00 p.m., at Sentara Norfolk General
Hospital, in the A-Wing Conference Room (next to the cafeteria on the
first floor). Free parking is provided by SNGH in the Staff Parking
Garage across from the Children's Hospital emergency entrance.

Our guest speaker will be Jeff, Manager of 2nd Storehouse, Inc.,
purveyors of "Many Alternative Foods & Vitamins for People with
Allergies", located at University Shoppes across from Regency
University. Jeff will bring some of the gluten-free selections they
carry and will discuss their ability and willingness to be
celiac-friendly as well as field any questions we may have.

Afterward, we will enjoy the Dietary Specialties (prepared) mixes
members are bringing. If you come to the meeting and do not have a mix
prepared, please bring a sweet or savory spread/dip/accompaniment to
serve with the breads and cakes. Beverages will be provided.

Thanks to you all who responded by e-mail and by sending copies of
your local Newsletters. I need all the help I can get! Our group
continues to grow in number (and in girth, but who's counting!). FYI: In
the past 6 weeks, I have been called by three biopsy-diagnosed celiacs
in the Tidewater area!! This is in addition to the new member last
month, newly diagnosed, who found out about our group on the listserve!
And one of them lucked upon a knowledgeable dietitian! Obviously, the
medical profession is becoming more educated and/or more diligent in
proper diagnosis.

Good Health & Good Eating!!
