Dear List,

I have been reading with great interest the travel suggestions to
various destinations. I think the ability of celiacs to adapt eating
habits and needs to different cultures and food styles is really a
commendable feat.

We are planning a 1 week trip to Cyprus in mid-August. Does anyone
have any suggestions about Greek food, like what should be typically
avoided? (For instance, I know baklawa is out.) We will be staying in
Paphos. Can anyone recommend an easy-to-find dish in a restaurant
that would typically be GF? What about items in grocery stores? Are
ingredients labeled in a language other than Greek? (like English,
French or German?) Where can I get a restaurant card in Greek?

Are there any list members out there who are from Cyprus?

Any help you can give would be great.

Thanks a lot!

Sharon Marcus
