I mentioned a Gluten Free WASA cracker that my local natural food store had
been able to get. The Gluten and Wheat Free Corn crackers says "Product of
Switzerland. Made by Roland Murten AG, Murten. Exclusively imported by Liberty
Richter, Saddle, Brook, NJ. 07663." Although they say corn on them, the
ingredients are rice flour, whole grain corn flour, corn starch, skimmed milk
powder, yeast, vegetable fat, organic raw sugar, mono- and diglycerides,
sodium bicarbonate, sea salt, cellulose gum. The European version contains
wheat starch instead of corn starch, but still claims to be gluten free (the
food standards are different in Europe and there wheat starch may be OK).

Roland Murten AG belongs to the SANDOZ Ernaehrungs AG (SEAG), a company
related to one of the big chemical companies in Basel. Both the European
package and imported package have the gluten free sign. A phone number in
Finland for contact is (90) 875 71. The product seems to be manufactured for
Norway, Sweden, Denmark and Finland and is reimported into Switzerland (!) and
probably the rest of Europe as well. Thanks to Mike Jones for checking the
European information.

Hope all of you can find someone to get this locally. It is tasty.
