 Hush Puppies    No. 718                               Yields 12 Puppies

     1 Cup       Cornmeal                   1           Egg
     1 tsp       Baking Powder            1/2 Cup       Milk
   1/2 tsp       Salt
     3 Tbls      Onion, Minced

Preheat the deep fat fryer to 370 degrees.
Mix the dry ingredients together.
Beat the egg into milk.
Combine the dry and liquid ingredients.
Form into oblongs about 2" x 4" x 3/4".
Deep fry until golden brown.
Drain on paper toweling and serve at once.
