Dear Listmembers,

I am taking my daughter for a consultation to several orthodontists due to
severe overcrowding. I have a great dentist who is very careful about
making sure everything that he uses for her is GF. My concern is how do I
approach an orthodontist with the problem of celiac? I have voiced my
concerns that everything must be GF, but one doctor did not seem concerned
and even seemed hassled by having to "do special things for just one
patient". I only have four orthodontists to choose from on our dental
plan. I have requested a consultation with each one. I have filled out
the health form and will send along info on CD before the visit to
familiarize them with the disease and give them time to check out their
materials. I have already searched the archives with no success on this
subject.

My questions are:

Has anyone had an experience with an orthodontist? How did it go and how
was the CD addressed?

What materials should I question?

Does anyone know what is in those "low powder" gloves they use?

Any suggestions or information would be very much appreciated.

Thanks in advance.
