The University of Chicago Celiac Disease Program has officially initiated
its second annual education tour, and we could be coming to a city near you!

Last year, our Celiac Disease Myths and Facts Education Tour reached over
1500 people in 19 cities and was very well received. We spoke at conferences
and support groups nationwide, and provided quality information to
participants from Connecticut to Kentucky, to North Dakota and beyond.

This year, our focus will be on the challenges that celiacs face as they
follow the gluten-free diet. The presentation "Taming Temptation: Practical
Strategies for Maintaining a 100% Gluten-Free Diet" shows that there are no
easy answers, but that there are some surprising things that can be learned
from others who are also required to follow a strict diet for medical
reasons. Participants can contribute to research by filling out a
questionnaire prior to the presentation, and will learn what the key
"ingredient" is to successfully maintain the diet--and good health.

Cities currently scheduled are Milwaukee WI, Madison WI, the greater St.
Louis area, Lafayette IN, Springfield IL. In addition, Taming Temptation is
part of the Gluten Intolerance Group's annual conference in Portland, June
4-6 and the Celiac Disease Foundation's "Taste of Gluten-Free" in Pasadena,
May 23.

Taming Temptation was developed and is presented by Michelle Melin-Rogovin,
Program Director. If you are interested in scheduling "Taming Temptation"
for an upcoming meeting of your support group, please call the University of
Chicago Celiac Disease Program at 773-702-7593.

Best Wishes,
Michelle
