Phyllis's note about her favorite rice find made the think about sharing a rice product that I had recently found and REALLY enjoyed too. It's called Planet Rice Sprouted Brown Rice. This one takes about 15 minutes to cook, so not the 3-minute option of Rice Expressions. It's supposed to have more GABA benefit that traditional rice. But really I just really like the taste. I am lukewarm about most rice-like it, but don't just love it. But this one has such a lovely flavor and texture-especially if you put about half a tablespoon of butter in with it while it cooks. I bought mine at Fred Meyer in the regular rice product section (not the gluten-free aisle). I see Amazon carries it too and here's a link to it if you want to see what the packaging looks like: http://www.amazon.com/Planet-Rice-Sprouted-Brown-Ounce/dp/B00CEWDQIU I store mine in the freezer between uses and it stays nice and fresh. Don't stir your rice once it begins to cook (you'll wreck those little steam chambers that form between the grains and it makes a huge difference in the outcome of your rice texture) and keep your pan covered while cooking-these are my two pearls of wisdom after years of cooking rice (gluten-free lifer).
