I recently sent out a SOS for a presentation I was preparing to give
at a local women's resource center connected with a hospital.
Your responses were overwhelming!
People from all over shared their resources and they were excellent.
I won't try to list everybody here, but I certainly got exactly the
information I needed.

I asked specifically for two things: materials for handouts to be
given to celiacs and their families, and materials for medical
personnel. With the files I was sent and additional research at the
major celiac sites, I found enough material to burn CDs to hand out
-- over 20 mb of information -- and only handed out paper copies of
the NIH brochure, product lists from local stores offering g-f foods,
and couple of favorite recipes. The CDs contain materials in six
categories: General Information, Children, Eating Out, Product Info,
Recipes etc., and Medical Information. All files were converted to
PDF format if they weren't already. Because these files were all from
the internet, I won't be selling CDs anywhere, but will endeavor to
distribute copies to doctors' offices, clinics, and other medical
libraries around town. This was an unexpected result, but certainly
is a cheaper and more efficient way to make materials available than
making reams of copies or printouts.

It's amazing how much information is available to all of us now. When
I was diagnosed in 1995, I printed out the entire archive of this
list and read it like an encyclopedia! Now, up-to-date,
scientifically verifiable information is easily available. All
materials on the CD that needed to be timely were dated at least 2004
or later.

Thank you all again. I've been asked to do an encore presentation on
holiday issues for celiacs next month. I hope establishing a group
will be the next step ...
