This post says it all. Two people referred to Thompson. I've also heard from one who gets sick.

I don't buy or drink beer. I was sharing for those who do.

Three responses. Is the listserv still out there?

> That article is a thinly veiled marketing piece for Omission beer, which is gluten-removed beer, not gluten-free beer. Tricia Thompson of Gluten-Free Watchdog has written about gluten-removed beers and their safety--or more accurately there lack thereof--before here: https://www.glutenfreewatchdog.org/news/can-individuals-with-celiac-disease-drink-barley-based-gluten-removed-beers-such-as-omission-a-gluten-free-watchdog-special-report/ Why are they called "gluten removed"? Because the government, specifically the Alcohol Alcohol and Tobacco Tax and Trade Bureau’s (TTB) in this case, will not allow them to be called gluten free. You can read more details via the link above, but although this article points to Omission beer testing gluten free vis the R5 Competitive ELISA testing, that testing cannot accurately determine gluten content in such products. Many have gotten ill from drinking Omission. Again, I recommend a reading of Tricia Thompson's article for all who are gluten free.
