A couple of years ago this all started while I was still unaware I had a
gluten problem. Extermely rapid heart rates waking me. I still continue to
have very short sleep periods every night due to rapid heart rate that
begins approximately 5 hours after I have been sleeping. I would say my
heart rate is about 120-140 per minute. That is what wakes me. Now, keep
this in mind; I do not wake and then it starts.... it starts and then it
wakes me. Once I have a bowel movement it settles down rapidly. It takes
about 1 to 2 hours before I can get back to sleep. I need to plan on being
in bed 10-12 hours just to make sure I can 7-8 hours of sleep. In the
evening I am very relaxed, heart rate is about 75-80 bpm.

I have only been GF for about 3 weeks. My bowels are doing ten times
better. I was hoping this would go away. This "no sleep" for two years is
really wearing me out. Any ideas out there what could be causing this? It
is not psychological... it is physiological.
