I have a question about tests. I just had a biopsy (had the last one a year
ago). In addition I asked the gastroenterologist about tests and he ordered
a gliadin and an endomysial one. He later informed me the biopsy showed
continued improvement abut still not quite normal. The tests were within
normal range.

Later I began to think about what normal means with these tests for celiacs?
Should there be any trace of gluten-created substances if I am following a
gluten-free diet which I think I am? Should I be asking more detailed
questions about these results? If so, to what purpose? Any help would be
appreciated.

As long as I here I would also like to express my appreciation to Martha in
NH. The recipe she posted recently for Black Magic Cake is delicious. My
wide made it even better by adding a cream cheese frosting. This is further
evidence that the celiac diet does not have to be spartan,
