Thank you to all those who responded regarding my question about
possible gluten contamination from Nexium, Mylanta, or the Solgar GABA
with calcium supplement. I received no replies indicating problems
with Nexium. I received one regarding possible problems with Mylanta.
Most of the replies indicated problems with Solgar vitamins or possible
ingredients in the vitamins that could cause a flare of the DH (iodine,
bromides, or possibly the calcium is derived from wet corn which
contains sulfites). I discontinued both the Solgar vitamins and the
Mylanta and the DH is resolving. I experience ataxia when ingesting
either gluten or casein and that is resolving too. Someone with DH did
report a bad reaction to Pantene, but I've used the shampoo for months
with no problems.

Unfortunately, I've been unsuccessful in getting through to Solgar by
phone to query them about their product. When I get that information,
I'll pass it along. As for Mylanta, the company reports that it is GF,
but it's included on some lists as safe, but not on others.

Sue
