Hello all.  I am newly diagnosed with CD but have been working on my
health for several years now---not knowing the actual cause of my
symptoms until now.    Many of you are speaking of mouth/tongue pain.
In my own personal expereince,  I have learned that this means I am "too
acid".  I am speaking of the body's terrain--not the blood pH.  Mostly,
fruits and veggies leave an alkaline ash in the body.  Most all of us
are too acid.  For a good list of foods to eat to promote alkalinity not

page not too long ago and it really helps to gear my diet toward whole
foods to feel better.

 A good book to read is "Your Health, Your Choice" by Morter.  I have
no vested interest in this site or the book--they have only helped me
along my way toward regaining my health.

To help counteract this imbalance in those of us with stressed immune
systems--this recipe helps.  It is very "healing" and will move you
more toward alkalinity which is healthier.  It's easy to make and very
very soothing and nourishing--helping to get the vitamins and minerals
into our over stressed systems.   Enjoy!

Lorri in Colorado PS--pooped adrenals are another sign of a stressed
immune system and of CD.  I had a saliva test and found that mine were
well below normal levels of operation and am addressing that issue now.

Adrenal insufficiencies lead to high Na/K ratios (salt/potassium)
causing that bloated feeling:

Make potassium broth.  It will flush your system of toxins, poisons and
unwanted salts and acids while giving you a concentrated amount of
vitamins and minerals.  Fill a large pot with 25% potato peelings, 25%
carrot peelings, and whole chopped beets, 25% chopped onions including
50 cloves of garlic, 25% celery and dark greens.  Add hot peppers to
taste (optional) Add enough water to cover vegetables and simmer on
very low temperature for 1-2 hours.  Strain, or just dip your mug in,
and drink only the broth.  Put the vegetables in your compost.  Make
enough for two days, refrigerating the leftover broth.  It is very
important to use organic vegetables at all times if you are trying to
rejuvenate health problems.  Fruits and organic fruit juices supply
needed potassium as well (especially Prune Juice).
